The original deck is fully colored!

Big news... I just finished coloring the very last cards of the original Hairball! deck, which means the entire base game is now in full color! Every deck we print from here on will be the colored version (no more black-and-white). The holiday set is coming along nicely too... the first 3 Christmas expansion cards are done. More color, more cats, more chaos on the way!

Here’s a little work-in-progress peek at one of the Christmas cards I’m painting. I may be adding way more detail than a card strictly needs... but I’m just too proud of how it’s coming along not to show it off!

Christmas expansion: the artwork is underway

Quick update on the holiday set — I’ve started the artwork for the Christmas expansion cards! These ones are going straight to full color (no black-and-white version for this set). We’re moving next month, but I still expect to have the art finished and the expansion ready to play by November 2026. More soon!

A Hairball! holiday expansion is in the works

The cats are getting festive. We’re hard at work on a Christmas expansion full of seasonal mischief — think Tangled in Xmas Lights, Nap Under the Tree, Catnip Candycane, Garland Tug-of-War, and the inevitable Unravel the Ugly Sweater. We’re aiming to have it finished and ready to play by November 2026, just in time for the holidays. More to share soon — subscribe above to be the first to know when it drops.

What else will we create?

As you may have noticed, our debut game is all about cats and their lovely little habits. The next game we release, made by my son, will also be about cats, but that's not all we can do! Other games in progress right now are about different things like space travel, ships moving from port to port, drinking games, and more! Stay tuned to see what all we come up with!

What’s next

A full-color edition of Hairball! and the first expansions are in development, and the Spanish edition — ¡Bola de Pelo! — is ready to play. We're also working on a Japanese translated version! More marvels to come.
